I am descended from Thomas Cowin (1781-1861?) whose son Philip and family (wife Margaret Garrett) emigrated to Australia around 1851 from Ballagawne near Baldrine - the family were farming there. In the 1870s the Cowin sons constructed a Primitive Methodist church in the mid-north of South Australia.

Would anyone be able to provide information on the PM connections of the Cowins of Ballacannell (the earlier line) and Ballagawne?

I can supply considerable info on the Cowins downunder for anyone interested.
