My LEWIN family were from Ballagawne in Lonan. Just how many " Ballagawne 's " are there ? I know of one in south, and a Cottage of that name on the west. In Porter's 1889 directory there is no mention of it in Laxey with Lonan ?? There is one in BROWN's 1881 directory in Onchan ??
Can I expect to find the same " balla " in nearly every parish.
