With the help of Lionel Cottier Jr of Louisiana, USA I was able to get in contact with Mike Caine who is son of the above JW Caine and one of the first computer experts who ran this genealogy board.
His father, John Wilby Caine, was an avid IOM researcher and spent many hrs not only pursing his own lines but in helping others with theirs. He resided in Onchan and often provided assistance to researchers coming to IOM to do genealogy.
I, myself, spent many happy hours working with John to unsnaggle different lines, especially Caines.
I wondered a few yrs back why I stopped hearing from John.
Apparently, he died rather unexpectedly on June 30th 2007 from a ruptured aortic aneurysm.
Mike saved the documents and photographs from his father's files and has been posting various pieces on his website.
