forgot to mention the portraits have had evergreen branches put over the top of them every christmas... as a kid I used to complain about having to cut the branches and place them on the portraits. My mothers response was your father said it had to be done but nobody knew why. We did it grudgingly. Later family letters were passed our way and it states in the letter old Aunt Fanny Caine passed these portraits on with the condition of greenery at christmas. Sure glad we didn't break tradition !!!
