One of the problems I had with the Boyds of Bishops Demesne was that some of the children were baptised in Kirk Michael for a while, but a note in the Ballaugh Church records makes it clear that they should have been making the longer trip down to the Old Church of Ballaugh at The Cronk, and in due course the baptisms switched back to Ballaugh.
