This is the last will and testament of Jane Mylrea (alias Cain) the wife
of John Mylrea bookseller stationer Duke St Douglas.
I leave and bequeath to my only child and daughter Elizabeth Jane Mylrea
the sum of thirty pounds sterling to be paid her at the death of my
husband if there be effects remaining.
I leave and bequeath to my sister Mary Ann Cain all my wearing apparel
which she is to use for the benefits of the aforesaid Elizabeth Jane
Mylrea and herself conjointly.
I leave to all persons having a claim on my property the sum of two and six pence each.
Lastly I appoint nominate and constitute my affectionate husband John Mylrea whole and sole executor and residuary legatee of all my goods and
effects moveable and immoveable of every kind and description ---- also of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I hereunto subscribed my name this Thirty First of May 1847 Jane Mylrea
Signed published and declared by the said Jane Mylrea as and for her last will and testament in presence of us.

Jonathan Cain and Robert Christian the subscribing witnesses to the execution of the foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Jane Mylrea deceased having made oath on the Holy
Evangelists that the said Jane Mylrea the executing party thereto when of sound disposing mind memory and understanding duly signed and executed the same as and for her last will and testament same as and for her last will and testament in their presence.
John Mylrea the executor in said will named is thereupon sworn well and truly to fulfil and execute the said will according to law - to pay all just
debts legacies and funeral expences of the testatrix so far forth as the goods and effects will extend and the law bind him. And to return to the
Episcopal Registry a full true and perfect inventory of the said estate with an accurate account of his acts and proceedings in the premises when thereunto lawully required and to these ends he hath given pledges in form of law namely Jonathan Cain and Thomas Mylrea both of the town of Douglas in the parish of Braddan
