Could he have been William Edwin, baptised in Ramsey 3 May 1867? As Donna wrote, his parents were Thomas, mariner, son of George BREW, farmer (deceased), who married Jane SEDDONS, daughter of John SEDDONS, mariner, in Lezayre on 14 December 1861.

Unfortunately Steve Brew stopped adding to this website several years ago, and I have since answered my own question given there about Jane Seddons and her Brew relationship (she and husband Thomas were cousins).
This also means that I haven't updated it online for more recent censuses and later family information.

Would you tell me please exactly what information the Scottish marriage certificate has given for Edwin and his parents, and also the details given for his wife Alice Carberry?
The names and occupations of all four parents should be given, as well as the dates and places of birth of both bride and groom, so the cert is an essential first step.
