Many thanks for the very useful information you have both posted.

I have been anxiously awaiting the remainder of the 1911 census information to be released and all to no avail it seems. When this particular census was released a couple of years ago and earlier than the 100 years requirement, the details of any persons who were in any kind of institution i.e. hospital or workhouses were withheld. Now it seems that the usual format of a 1911 census giving data as in previous ones will not be as helpful as I have been anticipating which I find is very unfortunate.

If the census was not complete because suffragettes refused to be counted and were 'unavailable' in protest, then why would information of children in institutions not be included?
