Looney’s Contract
Articles of Marriage Concluded Condescended and agreed upon
by and Betwixt John Crebbin Senr. of KK Andrs. parrish for and _
in behalfe of his son Andrew Crebbin on the one part
And William Stole ffather in law & Easter Stole Mothr. for and in
behalfe of their Daughtr. Christian Looney of KK Maughold on the
other part as followeth
Imprs : The sayd young coople is to Enter Into the Holy Estate of _
Mattrimony within one ffortnight after the Date hereof God _
and Holy Church allowing the same _ _ _ _ _
2ndly The abovesd. John Crebbin Doth hereby Endow and settle upon
the afforesd young coople The one halfe of a Cowe in pressent possess
= on with the one halfe of a Heiffer of Two years old Last May in _
pressent possession also ; and also a Maire on Michaelmas day _
next ensueing Together with all Goods & effects in his hands or _
named on him
3rdly The abovesd. William Stole and Easter his wife Doth hereby _
Endow and settle upon the sd. young coople the sayd Easter Stole
the Mothrs. part of the Estate Due to her after her decease
to be then Imediately possessed by the sayd young coople _
with the one halfe of a Heiffer In pressent possession and also
it is further agreed upon by and betwixt all partyes that all the
Lands belonging to Christian Looney in Boiley Loist and in the
Curragh called Close gaue or any other part of Land in the
sd. parrish shall and will forever hereafter fall and Descend
as Inheritance.
4thly And Lastly To the true and ffaithfull performance of
all and Singular the premisses and all Articles & agreemts.
all partyes have Bound themselves each to the other their _
Heyres Execs. admyntrs. & assigns under the penalty or fforfiture
of fforty pounds sterlln. To be levyed and payd according
to Law in wittness whereof they have hereunto sett their
hands this 26th June 1747

therefore allowed of and Confirmed according
to Law.
