Peter, only found Samuel on the 1851 census aged 13 ( born ca 1838 Cas) with Samuel snr Chelsea pensioner & then in 1871 there is a Samuel aged 31. Nothing for IOM or England with a birthplace of Malew IOM in the 1861 census that I can find. There are several other Samuel Saunders born elsewhere in UK KayN
