I've looked again at your string of messages on Rootschat this morning, and I agree with "Dobby"; 1913 (ages 74 and 33) looks likely.

If they were living in Castletown at the time, the rural setting of the photos might be explained by the fact that they could have been visiting the person who took the snaps.

At first glance there doesn't appear to be a strong resemblance between the two women, but if you allow for the fact that the tip of the nose grows throughout life, there are enough similarities for this to be a mother-daughter duo.
