What are the dates of the younger woman ? Or are you trying to find out who she was ?

Revised estimate for date of photo would be 19 teens through 1920s. Your g g grandma could have been in her late 70s or 80s when the photo was taken, right up to the 91 she was when she died. As for fashions, older people often used to wear items of clothing until they were beyond repair. The younger lady doesn't have a typical 20s look about her, but then, as Frances says, they're probably in working clothes.

I have lots of "snaps" taken in 1913 which were rectangular.
