Cubbin's application for a Master's Certificate (1850) says he was born in 1823 in Castletown, but Derbyhaven could well be right. James, what evidence do you have that he died in 1881 – and where? I cannot find any evidence of his death. Also what evidence that his wife was née Wagstaff? She was certainly Mary Ann but I cannot trace a marriage.
