thanks Mary. Yes, that was the Herbert Kinvig in my family. There were 2 pieces of info you gave that I didn't have. I took photos in Sept of his name on C'town memorial cross & his name on the plaque in Malew Church. I couldn't get him on this ancestry site which is a shame as I would have been interested to read all his forms & papers etc whilst in the army. Where did your info come from ?
