I suspect he is the William J L Sheard born in Liverpool 1912 to William Leece Sheard and Margaret J Doherty.

William Leece Sheard appears to be the son of Henry Sheard and Esther Leece from Peel. Esther later married Thomas Quirk from Michael.

The census from 1861 onwards looks complicated.
