Only one William Sheard comes up on Man that I can see, he is aged 7 in 1891, a visitor staying at Cronk ne Vesage (spelling corrections accepted!) he is a scholar and born Peel.

Although he is down as a visitor, it looks looks like Esther, his mother, is general domestic servant to the head of house Thomas Quirk. (36, Farmer, b. Michael)

They appear to be living in a separate household or building there.
