Did you, in the meantime, solved your puzzle? I am also looking for a Edward (John) Waterson who has to be my GGDad. My GDad was Henry John Waterson *23.3.1900 most probably in Mossel Bay, South Africa. His eldest son was named Edward John and his second eldest daughter was named Joan Elizabeth. Thus my GGMother could have been a Joan/Jane Elizabeth. I researching the possibilities that they (Henry John's father could have imigrated from IOM.
