Good morning from the beautiful and sunny Isle of Man.

Please can anyone tell me; was the Poorhouse in Strang, Braddan classed as a children's home back in 1921? Also, if a child was born in the poorhouse, would he/she have been left there if mother did not want the child or did they keep records?

I now have a record of my dad, who is mentioned in the book of gaurdianship, but not for the first 6 years of his life. The money would have stopped when he became a certain age and I wonder if there was a record of it when payment ceased.
