David and Frances - thank you for the quick responses. The Leslies are a major Scottish Clan so I was surprised myself to see that Isle of Man origin in a letter written back around 1900. The same letter gave some other family information that I had already documented, so I gave this bit of info the benefit of the doubt. I really appreciate your comments! Evelyn
