William Cowley from Peel
In Response To: Re: Cowleys and the "Crammag" and the "Close" farm ()

I know that John Cowley(1771-1850) and Margaret Kelly farmed the Crammag and that they had 7 children. Their 6th child was Philip Cowley who is my ancestor.The first born son (2nd child) was John b. 1802 and he inherited the farm in 1850 after his father's death. He married Elizabeth Cannell. John had a brother, William b. 1807/1808 but I don't know if he lived in Peel.
