I laid my hands on some further information re Ballacojeen. John Cain sold the property in Nov 1902 to William and Charlotte Bridson of Maughold, farmer, for 984 pounds. Land area 27 acres, 2 roods and 1 perch.
If my notes taken from owner at the time of my last visit to the island are correct, William Bridson was the grandfather of her husband (Neill). Someone may be able to correct me on this last statement.
