Note 2 has "John Brew married Bridget Gawn in 1741, had issue Michael Brew (born 1774) [typo - means 1744] married Eleanor Killip who in 1773, had issue Ann Brew who married Thomas Looney of Ballamoar Lonan in 1800, whose descendant Mrs. Zoe Coley of New Zealand wrote to me in 1983".
This was probably written by the late J.A. Brew who did a huge amount of research in the Manx Museum, because Steve Brew didn't start the Brew website until 1997. JAB must have decided that this family was likely to be the one where John Brew who married Bridget Gawn originated. However it looks as though he was in Andreas at his death.
In the IOM the names Bridget and Bahey/Bahee were interchangeable during the 1700s, and this appears to be John's will:

The IGI has Michael, Cath., Jony, and John bapt in Jurby (mother Bridget Gawn), and Jane (mother Bahee Gawn). John wasn't mentioned in his father's will, which wasn't unusual for the eldest son who would receive inherited property automatically. - Or he could have died young.
