Michael born 1938 remembers Ramsey carnivals, which were sometimes held at Queens Pier, Ramsey. Local people brought in their floats from Bride, Andreas Maughold etc. There is a photograph of a May Day Ramsey Carnival dated 1907 (page 34)in a little book called Our Heritage, this was our island. Portrayed in old picture postcards, compiled by Kate Rodgers. This book was published by, The Friends of Port St. Mary in aid of Manx Charities & organisations.
