By a remarkable coincidence, a few days ago I was passed the book on Noroton heights that you left with the Rector of Ballaugh in August 1994, asking if I could match the John Craine. Google pointed me here when I looked up your name!

I haven't so far found any likely candidate for this John, but I did wonder if you have researched and eliminated the Eleanor Kaighin who was born in Kirk Michael in June 1802. I note that her mother was Catharine Killey, and as my GGGG grandmother was a Margaret Killey who married another John Craine a generation earlier I thought that it was worth flagging up.

Kirk Michael is immediately to the west of Ballaugh.
