Hi. I am trying to find out about a John Crain(e)/Crane b.? IoM, emmig. from IoM to NY City sometime before 1836-7 when his son, Thomas, was born in NYC to Ellen Kaighin, b 1801 IoM & em. NYC ca 1826 with her Kaighin family. Ellen Crane, 59, seamstress, is listed in 1860 US census in NYC 1860 living only with son Thos Crane, sparmaker, age 23.
