Thanks Frances - I just cant prove who is the right father of William Halsall. William married in 1857 in Liverpool to Mary Ann Kelly - they are both listed as being born Isle of Man. Thomas Halsall occupation Joiner is on the marriage certificate. I did find a Thomas Holser occupation Joiner on the 1871 IOM census.
