there are 3 children Lillie, samuel + william Maley in the regsiter (a bit of a query re Wm as 2 confusing entries) but 1st two addmitted 16 apr 1884 c/o late Mrs Maley (this looks to be Susan Maley bur Onc 18840331 age 40 - Lillie age 4 on admission, sam age 9 - wm in one entry was admitted 15 dec 1885 age 14 (which is I think older than usual admittance) - lillie + sam went to Canada in 1886 - wm apparently sailed in 1895 hence the query over this record but there is an extract of a letter in the 1886 Annual Report which refers to him landing at Halifax and residing in Middleville.

I can't find a Susan Maley in the 1881 census on Iom

I think this family has come up before on the baord - I can't find Melnotte or similar in any records (census, burial etc) - is there a possibility of confusion or an adopted name ?
