Looking for many years for info about my great-great-grandparents, John Crain(e) and Ellen Keighan (or Eleanor Kaighin) both born in the Isle of Man. Eleanor is listed as Eleanor Crane, born about 1801 in the Isle of Man, in the US Census for 1860, living in New York City with her son, Thomas Henry Crain(e), occupation sparmaker, who was born in New York City in 1836-7; thus, John and Eleanor Crain(e) would have both left the IoM for the USA before 1836.
