Hello Len. Doris Creer, a cousin, told me that my great-grandmother was blind. She used to visit her at the Braid and told me how everything shone in the house. Was also told that my great-grandmother knew where every stone and hole was in the yard as she had to walk out to the "lou".
According to this cousin and other relatives that I have met, my great grandfather would go to the pub each night and stay until closing. The men would put him in the cart, turn the horse in the direction of the farm, and off it would go.
