Avril – I have submitted between 125-130 transcriptions to both John and Ian since February 2009, all of which appear on Ian’s website and none of which have been added to the FHS Wills Index, save 2 uploaded a few days ago. This is over one year ago since I started sending them. As well, I have since early May of 2009 sent approximately another 150-200 transcriptions to Ian only, ALL of which have been uploaded to his site (lawsonsiom.freevar.com/), awaiting transfer to the FHS site. Perhaps John would consider allowing Ian to transfer all his work on Brian’s wills to the FHS website thus preventing duplications. The members who are transcribing these wills are constantly needing to check to ensure we are not duplicating someone else’s efforts, and if they have not been added to Brian’s Index the possibility is increased and makes our work that much more difficult.
