I had a look at Ian's freevar site and if you're reading this Ian, you've done a tremendous job and many people have commented on your excellent work. (me included - thank you)
I did notice that the link provided on the research page on the IOMFHS was incomplete and therefore not working.
As I have access to this area, I've now fixed the link.

Great job Ian and hopefully John will be able to marry them up in a jiffy
Whilst I'm on about the site, I've now got Admin facilities on the forum and must admit, it was like a spammers convention with the majority trying to ply their wares, like insurance, marketing, pills, we.ight loss etc and some names too crude too mention.
As this was left unattended, I realised that I had to stop people immediately joining and have added a Pending Approval link, which allows me to view all new user names, including email addresses, preventing these names being seen on the new member section.
This is now backed up with an anti spam link, which shows me if the user has joined other forums around the world, checks their ip address, checks to see if they use different user names and locates them to a region like Russian, Netherlands etc
Anyway, the idea is to reduce the amount of spam on the IOMFHS site and having spent the last 3 days sifting through them, I've reduced the 3,000 plus members to 447. That's right, over two and a half thousand spammers of various imaginative names and multi named emails.
For those who wish to add their names to the site, then they can, but there is no immediate benefits for joining the forum site there, as the information is all viewable and I refer people to this site.
Please note that I'm not on the committee (own decision - work commitments) but act as an ear to others providing email support with the fairly easy questions and refer others to various people who are able to help. Basically, if I can help I will and if I can't, I'll put you onto someone who can.
I'm looking forward to this year in the society and I think we'll see some promising things happening in the not so distant future.
