there were no grave plots pre late 19th Century when the law required s extons be appointed - previous to this a family had a recognised plot to bury their dead - Old Ballaugh has most of stones very defaced the burial ground for the parish was transferred to new St Mary's - if there is no MI then I'm afraid there is probably no way of determining his grave plot unless you have an MI for other family members when you might be able to assume a nearby burial.
