I have also found the spelling to differ from one "n" or two. I do know my grandmother was a kewley and also found a Betty Denison in Carson City NV. She married my uncle Paul who passed away many years ago. She of course was not a blood Denison. He was my mothers' brother. Yes, we are more than not related somewhere.
