I am trying to locate information on Lawrence Kelly. It is thought he first came to America as a young stowaway who settled first in Virginia. Later on, he learned of an inheritance and returned to the Isle of Man, where he converted his share into cargoes of linen.

On the return trip to America, his ships were forced off course by storms.

They were overtaken by pirates and Lawrence was taken captive and ended up in Barbados. He finally escaped and returned to Virginia in the USA.

I do not know where in the Isle of Man he would have came from or who his wife was.

He did have a son born in America named John Patrick Kelly,
Any help would be appreciated.
