These are not 'my' Quines but there are some similarities. I have a John Quine, b 1832, with a brother Thomas b 1834 and William b 1842 (my direct), all sons of Thomas Quine from Onchan. When Thomas died, eldest son John used his 'inheritance', married Catherine Cain and emigrated to Australia, near Melbourne in 1854 on the 'John and Lucy'
They had children, then Catherine died and John came back to the Island in 1863 on the 'Great Britain'. He remarried a Mary Kelly immediately (how did he meet her?) and then died. She brought up her step children. They are named on a stone in Onchan old churchyard. i.e. John is named with his two wives!
Anyway - they went to Australia, but came back leaving no roots that I know of, except there is apparently a stone to Catherine in Maryborough, Victoria.
I hope this negative information helps eliminate some data.
Good luck.
