At the time of the 1901 census, a James Crix age 55 born Foulness Essex was on the "Border Queen" in Comberland. Other crew members were Wm McKnight 37 widower. b K.K. michael, John Christian 37, married. b. Douglas, Robert Garrret, 50 married b. Ramsey, John Garret 28 married age b. Ramsey & William Crix Single 18 b. Ramsey.
