Has anyone noticed that, whilst searching for individuals named Joney/ Jony, that the IGI lists them with John and not Joan. In itself this is understandable but there are some ambiguous entries with just 'Jon' described as male. Is this gender assignation trustworthy or is there any possibility that Jon could be Joney/ Jony and thus, to state the obvious, female?
