The BANNAN enquiry above did stir me to chase 1881 & 1901 BANNAN census data and I found a number residing in Haydock, Lancashire, as well as CORLETT, DAVISON, WADE, DIXON & QUAYLE connections. The latter being Catherine Ann BANNAN m John Henry QUAYLE 1889 German, IOM (1 known child = Ethel May QUAYLE b. Peel 1899)
