I am looking for information about Thomas Bannan, born about 1800 (give or take a few years) on the Isle of Mann. Thomas moved to England. He was living in n Newark Nottingham 1831 or earlier, and in Warrington Lancs 1840 or earlier. In 1847, he was in the Warrington Workhouse. Both oral history and a notation in the workhouse records book have his birthplace as the IOM.
So far no record of his death has been found in England, so he may have returned to the IOM (possibly sent back by the workhouse) Other known information is that he had a wife Catharine Dixon (1803 to 1840), a son Henry (b about 1831 Newark, died 1878 Haydock Lancashire), and a son William, born 1840 Warrington, died as an infant. His occupation was shoemaker.
Any information anyone might have would be appreciated.
