Sue may be correct John Scarff may have come from Lhen,I assumed that he was from Lonan because of the way his place of birth is depicted on his headstone and also the 1881 census has quite alot of Scarff's coming from Lonon but only one or two from Andreas.Still it is only an assumption on my part and Sue may well be right.
