Getting frustrated here! I saw William as a passenger in 1826, he was 22 years old andtravelling with John Gawne - brother or cousin perhaps? I paid to go into Ancestry.com and came up with a few Gawnes but none that matched him. Under John Radcliffe came daughter Jane and then granddaughter Emma but maybe Emma isJane's granddaughter - going by the age of Jane, she was getting on and its not as easy having your 1st child at 35 or 36.
Did it definitely say Jane Radcliffe?
Also, did you check for Henry's parentage? Do you do this in Ottawa?
