Carol, I thought your question was very intelligent. I think there are probably many of us who think fleetingly about puzzlers then forget all about them. I found the subject very interesting. I recently read a novel called "The Manxman" written by Hall Caine and published in 1894. It belonged to my grandfather. Apart from being a very good story it gave a great insight into the lives of people living in the Isle of Man at that time.
