There is no Hildesley Road (named after the Bishop succeeding Bishop Wilson) in the 1894 Brown's Directory - the main ref for Douglas Streets is the late Stuart Slack's 'Street Names of Douglas' still available (a paperback) and often gives date of construction

There is a book with a title something like 'Hildesley Road' giving a biographical account of war time (WW2) life - cant immediately recall author but again it was in paper back
