I am hoping you can help me or send me in some direction.

I have very little information on my Great Grandmother. Her name was Caroline Kermode, born June 6, 1896. Birth Registered Aug. 7, 1896, Number 162.

We have been told she was from the IOM, though this may not be certain.
We have also been told Caroline's father was a policeman of sort and that Caroline herself was in the service at 16 years old.

My Uncle believes Caroline had a step sister named Kitty Douglas of Liverpool whom married a Mr. Gore. They had children named William, Douglas, Dolly and Lilly, son Bobby was a prisoner of war in Korea.

Caroline Kermode married John Algernon Bailey Nov. 30, 1913 and they had three sons and two daughters.

The information I received was from a family bible. I am really hoping someone can help me as it seems this woman didn't exist. I have even wondered if her name was changed at some point.
