The laundry was founded by Tossie Clucas from Union Mills, Priscilla Lewthwaites book 'Fleece and Flour united' has a brief mention of him (it is now out of print and PL is not on the web however I will have a quick lookup tonight) however A W Moore sold Tromode sailcloth works in 1906 so guess laundry at tromode started then but it had been at Union Mills before - the newspapers of that time will probably give full details etc but you will have to research them at the Manx Museum
