A second benefit society for Ramsey was founded in 1815. In 1820, after only five years in operation it merged with the senior Ramsey Philanthropic Society, a significant boost to a club weakened in 1818 by the defection of a majority of its younger members, alarmed by the actuarial actualities of the financial structure of a twenty-eight year old club. There are no newspaper reports of this club and none of its records has been located.

Manks Advertiser, Thursday, 29th May 1817;
On Monday last,[Whit Monday]... On the same day, the Ramsey Benevolent Society held their annual meeting, with that unanimity and concord which have always distinguished the celebration of their anniversary.
Manks Advertiser, Thursday, 14th May 1818;
Ramsey, 13th May, 1818. Monday last being the third anniversary of the Benevolent Society of this town, the members, according to custom, assembled early in the morning, and, after arranging certain matters connected with the general interest of the institution, proceeded to church, where an admirable and impressive sermon was preached by the Rev. John Gill, of Kirkbride. After returning from divine service, the society sat down to an excellent dinner, and spent the evening in such a becoming manner, as reflects the highest honour upon the gentleman who officiated in the chair. From the ever to be lamented death,of the Honourable Deemster Moore, one of the members, and the original institutor of this laudable society, many of the members, from a due sense of feeling and regard for departed worth, were prevented from attending. The effect which so sudden and unexpected an event produced upon the mind of every individual — an event which at once deprived a wife of a friend and affectionate husband, a family of a kind and indulgent parent, a country of a learned, upright, and impartial judge, and the world of an intelligent and benevolent man, — can better be conceived than described.

The M.I. reads "To the Memory of NORRIS MOORE Northern Deemster of this Island, who died May 14th 1818 aged 59 years. Also of his wife EUNICE OATES who died April 1821 .." also names children - the burial register notes burial on 14th May - from the newpaper account death was known by Monday the 11th.]

NOTICE.
ALL such Members of the BENEVOLENT SOCIETY, who do not reside in RAMSEY, are requested to attend at the Club-Room, on the Morning of Holy Thursday next, being the 11th of May instant, to walk in Procession, along with the PHILANTHROPIC SOCIETY, to which they have been lately united. This day will in future be considered as the Anniversary of the Society — By Order of the President, JOHN LACE. Ramsey, 3d May, 1820.
