
Established 1899 - A description in 1900 states "The cemetery contains some 12 acres of land, half of which has been utilised for present purposes. The walks and planting are tastefully arranged, and the total cost, including chapel and boundary walls, amounted to £9,000"
A further new cemetery has since been established..
In 1960 the old chapel was converted into the only crematorium on the Island - paid for by Tynwald.
