List of chapels
The following list includes only those buildings constructed, or
adapted, as preaching houses; there were many examples, especially in
the early days, of private dwellings used for meetings.
¤ indicates still active (1998); Ø indicates demolished;
I, II etc indicate successive buildings on same or adjacent sites.
For convenience I have given the OS
6-figure Grid reference so chapels can be located to within
50m.

Individual Chapels, Photographs, etc.
All colour photographs, unless otherwise stated, are my copyright,
however you are welcome to copy or use them for any church related or
non-commercial purpose (a reference to my Web page would be
appreciated). Generally a larger, full screen, image may be obtained
by clicking on the thumbnail view. Better resolution copies may be
had on request
The black and white photographs of earlier days are drawn from a
number of sources - please do not assume that these are as readily
available for use.
The indicates
that a centenary (or Jubilee) booklet was produced, in some cases
this was a very thorough chapel history (as e,g, C.C.McFee's
Crosby Chapels, in others more of a notice of a centenary
celebration. These are usually held by Manx Museum (see under
E.240).
The indicates
that the chapel participated in the flower festival of that year and
a small (and unfortunately not always informative) booklet may have
been produced.
