The schools in Douglas went mixed in Sept 1974, prior to that they were girls/boys only. Ballakermeen taking 11-14, and known as the Junior High School and the Park Road/St Ninian's sites taking 14-18(exam years).

You used to have to trek between sites for the different lessons. This was the situation til at least 1982 when my younger sister left for uni.
