there were only a few Watt(s) families on the Island in 19th C - all I think derive from David Watt(s) who married local girl Jane Qualtrough Rushen 18081020 - his eldest son Edward m Isabella Kennaugh and they had a large family including a Joseph in 1851 - one of Edward's brothers, robert, is found in Illinois by 1880 so there is some link to USA
